Did you know that there’s a museums pass that grants you and up to 5 children (under 18) were entry to over 300 museums in Switzerland, Germany and France? Well the museums pass offers just that!
You can purchase your museum pass from the Tourist Information Office, located at the SBB station, or from the Stadt Casino at Barfüsserplatz.
A museums pass is 143 CHF per year.
There is a reduced tariff for pupils and trainees, disabled persons, unemployed persons, teachers and members of the Museumsförderverein but please take documentation to prove your status when you purchase your pass otherwise the reduced tariff can’t be applied.
The Museen Basel website gives a comprehensive over view of all of Basel’s museums and their current exhibitions.
Every first Sunday of the month in Basel all museums are free to enter plus there are some evenings during the week that museums offer free entry too.
Thanks for reading the Things to do in Basel blog.
Love, Louise
