Summer Rolls at V'oodles

The summer rolls from V’oodles are a real treat, fresh and tasty but highly filling as they have egg noodles in the centre.  The meat, tofu or fish plus thinly sliced vegetables make a fresh and tasty change from a traditional salad.  The team at V’oodles offer 5 aromatic dipping sauces, I tried lime, chilli and sesame which was to die for.  Each role is between 4 and 5 CHF depending on the filling.

V’oodles is located at Freie Strasse 89, 4051 Basel

The Stadt Casino re-opens

The Stadt Casino will re-open this Saturday this huge Pallazzo style building that is right in the middle of town at Barfüsserplatz has been under renovation for 4 years.  The renovation was lead by the Basel based architects Herzog du Meuron.  The Stadt Casino has seen many famous people perform in it great such as the amazing mezzo-soprano Teresa Berganza, I hope that this great building goes on for many generations providing a place for world class music for all.
